What is Eurêka

Eurêka is a full-featured, Web-based learning objects repository. It heavily relies on the IEEE 1484.12.1 Standard for Learning Object Metadata. It provides a powerful, yet easy-to-use, metadata editor, a metadata aggregator, a hierarchical classification system, search facilities and numerous import / export features.

Eurêka is the first product that offers complete support of LOM-IEEE multilinguism, cardinality coupled with closed vocabularies based on IMS VDEX specification.

Developped as part of a Québec-Walloon-Brussels cooperation project. Eurêka has been financed by the Vitrine APO, a Québec Ministry of Education spin-off that promotes and supports IT integration among Québec cégeps.

The Eurêka software, supporting files, database structure, VDEX vocabularies are distributed in compliance with the GNU/GPL License.
