Broken Links Checker
The broken links checker extracts all URLs stored in learning objects. It will make HTTP HEAD requests to check if the remote file is still available. Broken links will populate the results table of the broken links checker page. Since the server needs to make HTTP request over the Internet it might take a while to get all results. A URL will be tagged as broken when the remote server could not be contacted, the remote server failed to respond within the maximum amount of time allowed for a HTTP request (this can be set in the PHP.ini configuration file). Moreover, if the remote server responds with a HTTP Code greater than 300, which are error code, it will tag the URL as broken.
